Discovering Young Talents: 65 students took the stage during the Little Daie Challenge 2024 by Kalam Khalifah

65 students from all kindergarten branches under Kalam Khalifah Little Caliphs have taken the big stage to compete for the title of the Little Daie 2024 winners. The Little Daie Challenge is one of annual programs held by Kalam Khalifah kindergartens as part of The Little Caliphs Programme® (TLCP). Each kindergarten was given the freedom to choose their topic in order to bring discussion to diverse topics.

Mr Nik Annuar Fathi bin Nik Hassan, the CEO of Kalam Khalifah explained that, “This competition is to hone the talents of our 6-year-old students and build their self-confidence. Every part of their performances is done in either English or Arabic. This is to showcase their growth in mastering their second and third languages at our kindergartens.”

The competition at KB Mall was fierce as nine groups gave their all during their performances. However, as competitions go, there can only be three winners. The kindergarten that has won third place is Kalam Khalifah Al-Falah Little Caliphs Tok Bali with their title ‘Time is Gold.’ In second place is Kalam Khalifah Al-Qalam Little Caliphs Lundang with their title ‘The Arrogant Tiger.’ Lastly, our grand winner for the Little Daie Challenge 2024 is Kalam Khalifah An-Nur Little Caliphs Kubang Kerian 2 with their title ‘The Holy Land.’ With happy faces, they received their price of RM800 and a shiny trophy!

The principal Kalam Khalifah An-Nur Little Caliphs Kubang Kerian 2, Principal Ummi shared the secret to their success. “Alhamdulillah, I received full cooperation from my fellow teachers in terms of ideas and opinions. The parents also gave their commitment to us.” As a result of their hard work, the children managed to memorize their script and deliver a great performance.

Mrs Shaliha, the mother of Haszirah, a student from Kalam Khalifah An-Nur Little Caliphs Kubang Kerian 2, expressed her pride for her child’s ability to deliver a praise-worthy performance. “This program is great in building the children’s confidence in standing in front of a crowd and communicating with people. In my personal opinion, Little Daie has given them an interesting experience and a sweet memory for them to look back on.” For all the parents, regardless of if their children have won or not, everyone was proud and happy that they were able to perform confidently in front of a crowd.

Overall, the Little Daie Challenge 2024 has achieved its objectives and more. The students have showcased their talents and fluency in front of a crowd. Furthermore, their performances encompass topics that range from ‘Good Manners at School’ to ‘Environmental Issues.’ This is in line with the spirit of da’wah where even little children are empowered to spread the message of Islam to people.
